“Last Flight to Abuja” ready to take off

This movie is timely and could become the most important contribution of Nollywood so far to the improvement of the ailing aviation industry in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Award-winning producer, Obi Emelonye’s new special effect movie “Last Flight to Abuja,” is a must-watch.

Anyone who saw the recent press screening of the movie will definitely think the idea was gotten from the recent unfortunate Dana plane crash, but Emelonye, who also produced the critically acclaimed movie of 2011 “The Mirror Boy,” said he had been on it for over five years.

Starring Ali Nuhu, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Hakeem Kaei-Kazim, Jim Iyke, Jide Kosoko, Celine Loader and others, it is not just the first Nollywood movie set on a plane, but might also be the first successful Nigerian special effect movie, after the attempt with the movie “Kajola” flopped.

“Last Flight to Abuja” captures the experience of victims of plane crashes in a heart-rending manner.
