How does your weekend start?
What I do does not really have a 9a.m. to 5p.m. or 8a.m. to 6p.m. routine. So my weekend could start on a Monday. Usually, I make a to-do-list of everything I need to do, and then I sleep like my life depends on it. Later on when I am awake and refreshed, I start to do whatever it is that I have written down to do.
Do you go to club?
I go clubbing once in a while, but I attend more of the normal parties (Owambes, house parties, naming ceremonies).
Honestly, it is God’s grace that I depend on in that department. It is really not easy. Even as I have my life’s goals and plans outlined for myself, sometimes I find myself wandering. I think what has been working so far for me is striving to stay focused and looking at the bigger picture. I always pray for wisdom to always head in the proper direction.
If I don’t have a client or event that I have to work on, I sleep most of the day. When I eventually wake up, I eat, do my laundry as well as my chores then surf the internet. I also watch movies or read a novel.
If sleeping counts as a hobby then sleeping it is.
It was more of athletics back then in secondary school. These days I play table tennis occasionally.
I do everything and anything. I cook, sweep, do the laundry, iron clothes and clean the house.
I listen mostly to the top 100 billboard music which comprises of almost all famous artists. I don’t have any favourite artist because I don’t restrict myself when it comes to music.
My mom is my ultimate role model because she is a very strong and intelligent woman. I am blessed and privileged to have her in my life.
My achievements in life so far have not been much as I am working towards achieving more. For instance, contesting and winning the Miss NYSC beauty pageant in my service year is an achievement. I also worked in a TV house and had a segment that I co-anchored. It was fun and it broadened my thinking ability and helped me develop more confidence in myself.
Also, setting up my makeover business and striving to achieve recognition whenever my name is mentioned. I am after the ‘brand,’ because once you can create a brand for yourself everything will fall into place. I aspire to be one of the best in my field. I want to build an empire out of it thereby empowering millions of people. It would not be easy at first, but with determination you can.
What do you wish you could do more of on weekends?
I wish the weekends could be extended, so I can get more clients to work on as business thrives more during the weekends. I want to rest more on weekends too.
